James came up of the idea of 2 Litre Cup as a fan of the early days of the one-model Porsche Supercup that supported Formula 1 Grands Prix from the late 1980s onwards. Looking across the historic race series on offer, he felt that there was no compelling option for enthusiasts to race regularly at high quality events on the best tracks.
Having approached Patrick Peter of Peter Auto, James set up the series in conjunction with the top British historic Porsche specialists: Historika, Maxted-Page and Tuthill.
The first race ever surpassed all expectation: 35 cars at the classic Spa-Francorchamps circuit. Despite the obvious challenges of covid and Brexit, the series goes from strength to strength and enters its fifth season this year, running on the grand prix circuits of Mugello, Spa, Dijon, Paul Ricard and Estoril.

Much emulated, never matched. Patrick Long had a vision for a cool car event that would be bolder, more interesting, more appealing than the generic model which had evolved.
Luft was born in California in April 2014 and has been making Porsche fans globally smile ever since. We hosted Luft-GB in 2018, created Luft x GP Ice Race in 2020 and will do more in Europe in the future.

One of the great pleasures of being a tenant at Bicester is that we open up the site for enthusiasts to come and share every three or four months. Since we started, with a Leyton House F1 car, we have had the privilege of showing some truly special cars, not least the V16 BRM grand prix car which came and fired up in January 2022.
If you have a special car that you would like to show at a Scramble, do please get in touch.

Since the circuit was reopened by Lord March in 1998, we have been making regular pilgrimages to this special place. Whether racing at the Revival and Members’ Meetings or demonstrating cars at the Festival of Speed, or simply wondering happily around the paddock, we love the unique quality that Goodwood takes up a notch year after year.
If you would like to come to an event as our guest, do get in touch with Rory or Lou in the office. This year, we host our first track day at Goodwood on 1 August.
